PMA offers continuous International Student intake, as well as short and longer stay options. Bespoke programming is available for individuals and groups. However, most students prefer to achieve BC Ministry of Education, Phoenix Magnet Academy school grade-level credits. Multi-year attendance for at least two years of the grades 10, 11, and 12 BC Graduation Program are required for a BC Dogwood Graduation at PMA.

Some of our students attend for just two semesters, or what we call one standard school year. Intake for a one-year program is usually at the beginning of September, finishing ten months in late June of the following year. In most cases the report cards provided will enable these single year students to carry grade level course credits back to their home country, or to other international schools.

PMA offers one-semester programs for students, and in some cases BC Ministry of Education credits can be earned, as long as appropriate requirements are met. Students can start a Spring semester in Late January, or begin a Fall semester in early September. As most of our credit courses are only one semester long each, short term, single semester students can usually join in regular classes if their English level is sufficient. In other cases, we can arrange a semester of English improvement with the single semester students taking ELL/ESL classes and joining in on electives and outdoor activities.
